Neural Networks Assisted Error Correction Coding

Error-correcting coding brings together techniques for reliable transmission over noisy channels. It is a mature field with direct consequences for communication reliability, performance and power consumption.
This talk gives a concise introduction to the terminology and basic tasks of error correction, followed by an overview of machine-learning-based optimisation for linear codes. Particular attention is given to low-density parity-check (LDPC) codes.
